This Retina Hands-On Course is designed to give ophthalmologists direct exposure to real vitrectomy cases step by step, under expert supervision.
What You Will Learn
This course is tailored based on your current level whether you’re a beginner or a junior retina surgeon. Training may include:
Core Vitrectomy Techniques
- Pars plana vitrectomy (PPV)
- Core and peripheral vitreous removal
- Posterior hyaloid detachment
Membrane Work
- Epiretinal Membrane (ERM) peeling
- Internal Limiting Membrane (ILM) peeling (for more advanced participants
Managing Complications
- Vitreous hemorrhage
- Dislocated lens/nucleus
- Retained fragments after cataract surgery
Depending on the surgical schedule, exposure to other cases like diabetic tractional retinal detachment (TRD) or macular surgery may be included.
